That description could belong to two completely different musical eras, however. That time span even crosses a generation. Take your pick from 1976 or 1996.
Rush is no different than a lot of musicians, in that, as they grow older, they tire of technological trappings and gadgets, and wind up going back to the basics.
The array of equipment that Rush has used over the years might, on the surface, seem staggering. The truth is, all three guys are pretty loyal to certain instruments and brand names, and the overall variation in what they’ve used to pull off a concert isn’t as varied as one might think.
